This was a team effort at Studio 39, with each goldsmith using their unique talents to custom make this pendant. The head, thorax and abdomen was filed and shaped from a solid block of 18ct yellow gold, we then added the legs after carefully shaping each segment. The wings were made in two stages, the yellow gold upper portion was hand carved and cut out and soldered onto white gold plate which was textured for depth and interest. Finally, we pavé set black and white diamonds into the abdomen and at our customers request, set Emeralds into the eyes.n.
