At Studio39 Jewellery Design, you will receive a professional appraisal with a comprehensive record of the jewellery’s quality, materials, and craftsmanship, along with a photograph of the piece being valued. Kim has certifications in Diamond and Gemstone grading, is a qualified goldsmith and has more than three decades of experience.

Rhodium Plating

Rhodium plating is a process of coating jewellery, typically made of gold or silver, with a thin layer of rhodium, a rare and highly reflective precious metal. This plating enhances the jewellery’s appearance by making it brighter, more durable, and resistant to tarnishing. Rhodium is chosen for plating due to its silvery-white colour that closely resembles that of platinum.

One of the charms of hand engraving, as with all hand executed crafts, is the human signature that is created by the individual engraver and the tiny, unique anomalies that tell us this was done by hand and not a machine.
